hello @jackc6 ,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that should help:

First, update the firmware:
Log into the web interface of the router (http://tplinkwifi.net), go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update, and make sure the firmware is up to date.

For wireless connection stability:
1. Router Placement: Make sure the router is properly placed in an open area instead of inside a cabinet or shelf. This can significantly affect wireless performance.
2. Optimize Wi-Fi Channels: In the web interface, go to Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings, and try different Wi-Fi channels to avoid nearby interference. Additionally:
   • For 2.4GHz wireless devices, set the 2.4GHz channel width to 20MHz
   • For 5GHz wireless devices, set the 5GHz channel width to 80MHz or 40MHz to avoid interference
3. Check Parental Controls: Make sure your client devices are not included in any Parental Control profiles, as this could affect connectivity.

4. Update Client Devices: Ensure that the network adapter drivers, system, or firmware on your affected client devices (e.g., PC, phone, or smart devices) are up to date.

If these steps don't help, please contact local support for further assistance.
