Probles re-linking my powerline adapters after move of position

I have a pair of powerline adapters which I have used successfully more than 10 years to link the router in my lounge to the desktop PC in my home office.

Today I relocated the router and the powerline adapter in my lounge to a new position and a different power socket (on the same power circuit).  But I am unable to persuade the powerline adapters to "talk" to each other again.

I have followed all the instructions in the TP-Link installation guide, but no success.

Any ideas very gratefully accepted.

Hello @JohnJ-PooleUK ,

Welcome to our community.

For your case, please follow these troubleshooting steps in order:
1. Plug both powerline adapters directly into wall outlets on the same electrical circuit (within the same home wiring system). They cannot communicate across different circuits or if plugged into power strips, surge protectors, or extension cords, as these will block the powerline signal.
2. Reset the powerline devices and re-pair them. For instructions on resetting, please refer to this guide: How to Reset the Powerline Adapter to Factory Default
3. Use the tpPLC Utility to pair the powerline devices following this link: How to add a device to the network using tpPLC Utility
4. Ensure both adapters are running the latest firmware. After upgrading, attempt to pair them again. You can find upgrade guidance here: How to upgrade firmware of TP-Link Powerline Adapter

Best Regards.
