Wen I switch from the WPA 7517 transmitter to the receiver, there's no automatic switchover. I have to turn the WI-FI off and again on on my smartphone or other device.

How many powerline adapters do you have? Do they all support WiFi?
If you have assigned a different Wi-Fi name (SSID) to each Powerline device, each Powerline extender will broadcast its own independent Wi-Fi network. This may prevent client devices from automatically switching their Wi-Fi connections.
