Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello TP-Link Support Team,

I am writing to share feedback regarding my experience with the TP-Link Archer AX12 router. I previously used the TP-Link Archer C50, and its firmware experience was absolutely excellent, fast, and reliable.

Unfortunately, the Archer AX12 firmware feels very sluggish by comparison. Additionally, I have noticed that the real-time data transfer rate (bandwidth usage per device) does not update or change in real-time within the TP-Link Tether app. It lags significantly or requires manual refreshing to show accurate data.

Since the AX12 is a newer Wi-Fi 6 device, I expected a much snappier performance. Please pass this feedback to your engineering team. I highly request optimization updates for the AX12 firmware and better real-time synchronization with the Tether app in future updates.

Thank you,
KI Pavel

Hello  @pavels2000 ,

Welcome to our community.

Regarding the sluggish firmware/interface feel:
It's worth knowing that when you access the web interface or the Tether app, the router's CPU usage can temporarily spike as it collects and exchanges data. Frequently refreshing the app or modifying settings can also cause brief rises in CPU usage. These spikes are generally short-lived and don't impact the router's overall performance. Unless the CPU usage remains at 100% continuously, this is considered normal behavior.

Regarding the real-time rate not updating correctly in the Tether app:
The real-time rate displayed in the Tether app shows the current data transfer speed per device. If it's lagging, inaccurate, or not refreshing properly, please try the following steps:
1. Update the router to the latest firmware (if not already done).
2. Reboot the router.
3. Turn off QoS — log in to the web interface at http://tplinkwifi.net, go to Advanced > QoS, and disable it.

In addition, we recently have released the latest firmware (version 1.5.0) for the Archer AX12(EU)_V1! This update introduces several new features, including the highly anticipated support for EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul. Additionally, EasyMesh configuration is now supported in AP mode.
We encourage you to try out this firmware and experience the new features!

Firmware update instructions:
1. Please detect the new firmware on the Firmware Update page, if the latest firmware is detected, you can proceed with an online update.
2. If you prefer to update the firmware manually, please download it here: Archer AX12(EU)_V1_1.5.0 Build 20260605 (The AX12 (US) can also use this version of the firmware)
3. Refer to the guide to update your router's firmware: How to Update Firmware on TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers
