Bad File Updating Firmware
Bad File Updating Firmware
I bought two EAP245 v3s off of Amazon at the same time in October of 2022. I've been trying to update the firmware on them. One updates fine, the other one complains of "Bad File" no matter what version I try to update to.
I've tried factory resetting and I've tried multiple browsers. Can anybody point me in the right direction to get this working? I'd like them to be on the same version.

You might be able to use this approach as your device (245v3) support TFTP.
I would modify the approach slightly, and run Wireshark when you first power up the 245 directly connected to your laptop and see if you 'see' which IP it is using to talk to the world.

You would then download and unpack the US latest firmware, and once you see what file the EAP is looking for rename the 5.1.0 firmware to that exact filename per the above site.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot when I have a chance. Looks like TP-Link has some official documentation on it as well (which will cut out the Wireshark step). There is a way to do it via the browser and TFTP.
