Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I need to cover a large open space, outside yards. No power near.

My plan:

Tall pole.

100w Solar panel

Solar controller

Battery

EAP225

12V POE switch that pushes 48V POE (mounted in outdoor box)

2 POE Security cameras.

Goal is to have the EAP225 connect using mesh. The EAP225 will get power from the switch. Then send "network" out of the Ethernet to the switch. That switch would then power and send data to cameras.

  @DaKings

Yeah that will work, done it before

Basically you can connect anything you want to the LAN port on the MESH AP, it will then just forward all traffic for you over the MESH to the ROOT AP.     In most cases I have had users plug a switch into the LAN port for convenience, it should work fine for you!
