Model: TL-SG3428
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

We need to connect an expensive device to the TL-SG3428 switch. We want to perform galvanic separation and we want to make the connection using optical fiber. We are planning to connect the device to the RJ45/SFP converter (currently the RJ45 cable is next to the switch) and further via optical fiber to the SFP insert of the switch.
Questions:
1. What RJ45/SFP converter should we use for 1Gb/s network?
2. What switch insert should we install?
3. What fiber patch cord do you recommend?

Thank you for your answers

If your goal is to do a galvanic separation and avoid any electric damage to your device, you should perform a proper grounding.

1. TP-Link | Accessories

2. Not sure what you mean.

3. Pick up the fiber, then the module/converter. Or you pick up the module and then the fiber. One determines the other.
