Model: TL-ER6020
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.3 Build 20200623 Rel.39031

Seems that failover doesn't work on the TL-ER620 if the connection is down but an IP is detected. It doesn't start working until I actually go in and totally disconnect the bad WAN.

  @Clive_A

Doesn't solve the problem. The WAN shows as offline under the "online detection" section, but system status shows it as Link Up, so the router keeps trying to use the bad ISP until I go in and manually disconnect it.

Worse, it seems to drag down all HTTP connections when it fails. Even with policy routing set up with service type ALL to use the good ISP, HTTP connections still fail (although other ports do seem to correctly use the policy).

Load balancing works great when both are online, but definitely gotta check on how the firmware handles failures, seems like there's a huge issue here.

Hi @Warlocc

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Post your configuration here. And your Online Detection parameters.

Except for the Load Balancing you have configured Policy Routing? Need to review your settings.

Note that ER-6020 is EOL. We don't offer further firmware updates to it. If there is a problem with the function, I am afraid I cannot offer any further guidance or suggestions.
