Model: TL-SG2428P
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.0.1 Build 20211105 Rel.57589

I have a TL-SG2428P that is used to power 13 intercom devices, less than 5 watts per port. This is not a 24x7 deployment. Switch is powered up several hours per day.

The problem that I have is that twice all ports lost power. This happened several months apart. The log shows the following error:

  • I2C read/write fail occurs on PSE 1-5

I am still able to log into the switch. After a reboot PoE is restored.

Has anyone experience this before and considering updating to latest firmware.

TIA.
