Model: ER7212PC
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1

Hi support,

I have both desktop and notebook connected (via wire) to ER7212PC (latest FW @ v1.1.1) configured fresh from a factory reset.

Desktop -> port #6 -> 192.168.0.100 (default network)

Notebook -> port #12 -> 192.168.10.2 (manually created network with VLAN ID @ 10)

However, both desktop and notebook unable to ping each other (without any ACL setup). All the above IPs are issued by it's respective DHCP.

Troubleshooting

I connect my notebook to port #6 and get assigned with 192.168.0.101. In this scenario, both parties are able to ping each (as expected since same subnet).

Desktop @ 192.168.0.100 able to ping the gateway @ 192.168.10.1

Notebook @ 192.168.10.2 able to ping the gateway @ 192.168.0.1

Further testing

Created ACL:

  • Gateway / LAN-LAN / Permit / All protocol / Bi-directional
  • Switch / Permit / All protocol / Bi-directional

Still, I'm unable to ping either direction with the ACL enabled.

Any other methods/setup that I overlook?

Thanks

No need any ACL settings, the different VLAN interfaces should be accessible by default, check the firewall settings on the pc. And change the DNS for test.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.
