Model: TL-SG2428P
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1

Could Omada switches work without Omada software?  i ask this because in the past i had the opposite,  i had a TPlink 1600 switch and it dit always block the network because the router dit block his own ip adres to 192.168.0.1   and the router must always be on 0.1 (as otherwise you miss some devices)

I have a 605 (2) router  and a AP653 on the same network.

For this moment i have a SG2428P  But it makes to much noice (as i sleep about 1,5 meter from the switch).  So i am planned to buy a Switch without Poe (so no noisy fans)

Hi @bonestaak

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

The Omada switch can work without the Omada Controller. It can be a separate device like the T1600 which you used to have. The interface would be similar if you are using the new GUI.

Anyway, the switch can also get back into the Omada integration and use it with the Controller. The choice is yours.
