Roblox servers not accessible after Omada OC200 update
Roblox servers not accessible after Omada OC200 update
I appreciate this is a minor problem for some - but for my family's sanity...
My kids play Roblox (a lot). They can no longer access the servers following me upgrading the OC200 firmware.
It runs perfectly on 5G mobile, but not my network. Must be a new feature or configuration change - but I just can't find it.
It doesn't work on either WiFi or Ethernet.
I have tested whitelisting by URL and keyword, port fowarding and turning off various firewall attack settings.
I've tried Cloudflare and Google DNS - but were using these prior to the upgrade.
Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated

Hi mate.
Is now working. I didn't rollback, but manually reset all devices and configured the network from scratch.
Whatever setting was blocking Roblox is no longer active - still no idea what it was.

If you haven't done so, try restarting everything. I've run into weird problems that have been solved by restarting everything in the past.

Hi @Hutchy
Did you try rebooting the devices? Is the issue fixed?
Please reboot the whole system, including modem router, OC200, EAPs and mobile phones.
If that didn't help, please tell us what SDN devices you use.

Hi mate. Yes, I rebooted everything from the dashboard, but just to check I have turned everything off at power and restarted. No effect.
I have a Fibre connection to the Omada ER605 V2 - then a TL-SG2008P V2. I have 3 POE AP's connected. The OC200 is POE into the Switch.
Im getting the error "This AP port vlanId can not be same as the exist default LanNetwork profile." when I try to make some changes. Not sure if related though.

Hi @Hutchy
Regarding the error "This AP port vlanId can not be same as the exist default LanNetwork profile.", please refer to the following:

As for the Roblox issue, we need first to confirm the Fibre modem is working with it.
Please do the following test:
Unplug the WAN port of ER605, use the same ethernet cable, plug a PC into the Fibre modem directly, and test if you can access the Roblox server successfully.
If not, you may contact your Internet service provider, they must have a solution.
If it's working with the modem, don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks for the AP issue. Sorted
I connected a laptop to the port on the fibre modem (pppoe connection) and Roblox works fine.
I expected it would as the issue occurred immediately after the firmware update.

Change your DNS servers on your WAN and DHCP settings.
used cloudfare and quad 9.
My kid and their friends play roblox like crazy. Never had an update block it.

Nope, I've tried various DNS services and setting with no luck.
Yes, I'm not very popular with Roblox being down. Almost considering a firmware rollback - but no guarentee whatever setting has changed would also roll back
