Background: 

 

This guide aims to provide information regarding the screw type of the VIGI camera in case you need to purchase yourself.

 

This Article Applies to:

 

TP-Link VIGI cameras.

 

Screw Type:

 

1. Screw Length:

Generally, IPCs are primarily paired with 30mm or 40mm screws. 


2. Shape and Type of Screw Head:

The main type is the Philips(cross-recessed head) screw.


3. Expansion Screw Diameter, Length, and Material:

The outer diameter is 6mm, and it is recommended that users drill a 6mm pilot hole; the installation depth should be 30mm (measured from the expansion screw entrance to flush with the wall). It is recommended that users drill a pilot hole deeper than 30mm.

 

There are three types of screws for VIGI cameras. They are distributed differently. But generally, they are:

Used with an expansion plug for models with a base thickness < 10mm.

Used with a machine nut and washer for thin-wall installation scenarios.
