I use this firmware now but I have aslo used 1.2.2 and 1.2.3 with no truble.

Yeah I tried that before and after the factory reset on the router. Also before and after generating new keys for the server and client at this time nothing has changed.

I never should have updated the firmware router I guess...

Unfortunately, I don't have many more tips to offer, seems like a case for TP-Link support.

You have already been plenty of help I was shown and told why my Wireguard config was wrong gaining a better understanding of it. As for the router I factory reset it one more time and destroyed a couple old 3.5in hdd I had with a sledge hammer. The hard drive and router were about a foot apart from each other on the floor so I think whatever gremlins were in it vibrated out or saw the light of day when the hard drive died of it's future. As of right now the router is functioning properly with the wireguard configuration that was made from your help and input. So time will tell over the next couple hours and days if it is truelly fixed but I would love to know why it broke the way it did in the first place after the firmware upgrade.
