Hi there

I want to use one CPE510 outdoor and connect it to an existig solar powered equipment running at 12V.
Due to low efficiency and reliability I don't want to use an inverter to AC and then connect to the included PoE injector (that has again loss).
I want to use an industrial grade standard 12V to PoE injctor instead. Unfortunately standard IEEE802.3af style PoE injectors generate voltages up to 48V and regarding the datasheet the CPE510 accepts 24V only! Whathappens if one connects the CPE510 to standard PoE switches?
Any hints or products are very welcome.

Cheers

This is still not the point.

The point is TP-LINK and UBNT outdoor APs usually use passvie PoE, and passive PoE is totally not compatible with 802.3af/at standard PoE.
So the result is you just cannot use any 802.3af/at standard PoE PSU device to power on the CPE510.

You need a passive PoE injector and 24V DC input.

Thanks coca koala for clarifying! I've misunderstood passive PoE.
