You set up the nightly reboot to prevent it from gettingbto tge Disconnect state in the first place . Once it gets tobtge permanent Disconnect state you have to reboot it to bring it back online.

@Quist Connecting the factory defaulted router's LAN port to the switches uplink should allow it to be discovered by the controller.

For now schedule a nightly reboot of the router. I have been chasing a similar bug for over a year now.
