USB Drive Addresses
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Three USB drives are connected to a TP-Link Archer D7 via a hub: "Drive 1", "Drive 2" and "Drive 3".
If I boot the D7, it might share the drives like this:
"Drive 1" as volume(sda1)
"Drive 2" as volume(sdb1) and
"Drive 3" as volume(sdc1).
If I then reboot the D7,
"Drive 3" might then be shared as volume(sda1),
"Drive 1" as volume(sdb1) and
"Drive 2" as volume(sdc1).
Is there any way to prevent this bouncing around of drive addresses?

As you can see, the drives have changed addresses between reboots.
As to investigating what happens if drives are connected directly to the D7 rather than via a hub, as I can't connect three drives that way it can't provide a solution.

The names are part of the network addresses, for example: SMB://Archer_D7/volume(sda1)/music. So when the name of a volume changes (from sda1 to sdb1, for example) addresses become invalid.
Because a D7 has only two USB ports, you need to use an external hub if you want to connect more drives. Unfortunately, the addresses of those drives then change between boots. See thread above.
Is there any way to lock the addresses of a USB drive, which is connected to a D7 through a hub?

Good day.
Sorry for the delay.
I did a test on my side and there was no way to lock the addresses of a USB drive.
Let me check with the senior engineers to see if there is any workaround.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and support.
