So is the usable beta firmware 170407 not the 170511? OK, maybe my friend need this beta firmware also.

been using the beta 170407 provided by TPLInk, its been almost 3 days , no issues so far....fingers crossed

Hello, i'm a new member, googling for my problem i've just found this thread... I have an Archer D5 V1, firmware 0.9.1 0.8 v002e.0 Build 150526 Rel.63088n; from some weeks I experienced the same exact issue just described here. Some days ago the problem was at night, every morning the modem was freezed and i had to reboot to get it working. Then i tested some workarounds (upgrade to latest firmware, set up firewall, disable IPv6....) initially i had no more the problem, but now the issue was back, randomly, not every day.
I read about conjecture on Android device: I have now a Xiaomi Redmi Note with Android7 on it. I notice the problem on my network when i see my Android device not more on wifi but using data on mobile connection.
I collected logs on Archer redirecting them on a NAS Synology (in this way i retain logs still after reboot) but it's impossibile to find something interesting.
It seems absolutely crazy...

hi guys,
the beta firmware 170407 and 170511 are both australia version firmware. A lot of us have EU version firmware (even in india).

Are you guys all on stock AU routers... or did you flash AU firmware just to fix this issue ?

I've been working with Tech Support. They say they tracked the issue to an Android OS update in the area of cast controls. They provided me with a beta firmware which they say fixes the issue for my Archer C1200 and they are planning to release an official update soon. I recommend people still having issues contact Tech Support and ask for the beta firmware. This is the link they gave me but I'm not sure if it's the same for other routers: http://support.tp-link.com/f/115bd6f0b9/?dl=1

I will report if I still have the issue.

I've been trying the australian firmware 170511 which didn't work so far. This is when I figured my phone was somehow related to this bug.
As soon as I connected to the internet with it, 5G wifi disappear, and no more internet. I hate when these updates are useless.
I've also learnt no firmware downgrade is possible and no dd-wrt exists for this model. Next step either call TP-link to get a replacement if the support actually exists (no feedback from mail up until now).

Hi, did you try disable 5g wifi of D7? some guys say disable 5G will let the router works well. And even some guys say there are compatibility problem between many router and a Android Oreo or Nougat.

That must be crazy, if the compatibility problem is really exist.

I've heard of that, I don't want to disable the ac wifi since that's the whole point I bought it.
