Hello.
Since 2 month I am using the TP Link VR 2600 v Router with German Telekom as ISP.

Internet and phone is working but ...

I need help with the following problem:

--> If I want to make phone calls, it occurs, that these calls are not completed.
I dial the number,
I can hear the sound of dialing
... than - after a certain time - the line is mute and I hear the "occupied" signal.

I called my ISP (Telekom) and we figured out, that this happens, if the number I want to call is located by the German Vodafone.
If I call the same phone number by using a "call by call" provider, the call is completed correctly.

Can anybody please give me a hint or the solution ?

Thanks and kind regards.

try to diable SIP-ALG under NAT forwarding--ALG.
have you asked telekom why the call is not completed if you call German Vodafone.? they should be able to tell you more info.

I have same problem. They say it depends on codec. vodafone does not support PCMu. I cant find where to choose the codec.

i can't find codec in the menu, either.
but you can try disable SIP-ALG under forwarding--ALG settings
also enable voip qos under QOS--put voip on the high priority list.

Thank you all so far for your answers and hints.

@ Kevin SG
I tried your advice and have disabled SIP-ALG.
No difference. The problem continues ... :(

@ Shield101
Tested your hints too. no difference. The problem ist still the same :(

I have been in touch with the technical dept. of Telekom and they tested my line. Everything fine.
I have installed and tested an original Telekom router an a Fritz-box on my line too. With both the problem was not detected.

Therefore I am sure up to 99 %, that it is a problem with the TP-Link router

@ vieldcs
I'll do that and inform the TP-Link support.

If anybody has an other idea, please ...

Kind regards and happy Easter days :)

Thanks to all for your answers and hints.

I made the modifications as suggested from Kevin and Shield - but there was no difference. The problem still continues :(

I have contacted the technical department of German Telekom. They have tested my phone line and told me that everything is o.k.

Also I made two tests.
At first with a original Telekom router and than a secound wit a Fritz-box router.
In both tests the problem was not detectable and present.
Connecting again my TP-Link router the problem returned. :(

Therefore I am 99 % sure, that it should be a issue of the TP-Link router ...

Anybody has further ideas or hints ?

Thanks for your replies and nice Easter days !

I have the same problem as Alex (you are not alone! ;) . Provider is also German Telekom. However, I suspect that the not working numbers are of people with "ISDN numbers" (so not SIP, VoIP yet). The problem is present for at least 3 month. Can we get a statement from Tp-link? Thank you!
