Renaming switched items on HS100

I have set up several items to be switched on 4 different HS100’s using 4 different names on the Kasa app on my iPhone. I operate the plugs via an Amazon echo. After changing the name of one of the plugs on my iPhone, the Amazon echo will not respond to the new name but only the original name even though the new name is being displayed on the iPhones Kasa app. Can you please advise.
