I've seen in the configuration menu, the Archer VR600v has an built-in OpenVPN-Server which is capable to connect a remote LAN to it's own LAN. I have not found an option to use the VR600v on the OpenVPN-Client-Side network. Is that possible anyway?

You don't have this option:

Go to Advanced > VPN > OpenVPN, and select Enable VPN Server.

I have that, but that offers only server-side configuration, nothing to configure client side

I think you should try advance option which hrangel shared with you VPN > OpenVPN, and select Enable VPN Server. you have to enable vpn server to resolve your issue.if you still face this problem after trying advance option than read nordvpn vs expressvpn.maybe this blog will be helpful to you.

These settings are only for OpenVPN-Server-side, nothing about client side





Does these routers offer ssh access? if so, I would be able to configure OpenVPN by myself

I wouldn't mind that, but then the GUI (browser) Interface should handle all purposes well, in case of OpenVPN I don't see this functionality right now

Has this been added into a newer firmware?
I would to be able to have a VPN client for the router to automatically connect to another router.
