Hello.
I upgraded from TD-W9980 to Archer C5400 Router recently. TD-W9980 was too weak for ~7 devices we have in our home and so far Archer works well.
I want to limit some devices like smartphones and gaming consoles from completely ruining internet connection for all other devices because of software updates. Bandwidth control would be enough but I can't see it in Archer.
TD-W9980 had it from what I remember. I could set how much downstream or upstream bandwidth I want for certain IPs.
However Archer C5400 has no Bandwidth control from what I see in its simplified UI. I can only see "QoS" which does absolutely nothing. I can set priorities for devices but it does nothing(high pings and slow loading websites when gaming console is downloading an update). I just want to set a hard limit for certain devices and that's all.
Official Archer datasheet list Bandwidth management as one of its features: https://static.tp-link.com/Archer%20C5400%20Datasheet%202.0.pdf
So, the question is: where can I find this bandwidth management feature to set bandwidth limits for certain devices? Is there some kind of advanced configuration like it was in TD-W9980?

Firmware version is 1.2.2. Device is V2.

@Gon009 I have the same experience, if TP-LINK doesn't care about fixing this Advertised Bandwidth Control soon, I wouldn't trust them no more for my future buys and recommendations.

@Kevin_Z

AC5400 MU-MIMO Tri-Band Gaming Router
Hardware Version: ArcherC5400X v1.0
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20191223 rel.73956(5553)

I used to have old tp-link routers before and the interface isn't as clean, but it does the bandwidth control smoothly.

Can you please point out if there is any actual bandwidth control?

If there is, please help. Thank you.

Hello, the Archer C5400X doesn't support Bandwidth Control, while we have reported this to the developers, they are evaluating if we can add it back in the future firmware updates.
