Hello all,

I recently purchased an M7450 for use in my car. I want to build in the device and have it connected to the car's battery. Unfortunately I have to make a choice between leaving the device switched on permanently with the risk of draining the car's battery, or switching it on manually. Neither option is very appealing.
Would be nice if the device would auto-power on when the engine is started (5v detection on USB). Shouldnt be a very difficult feature to develop.
Any chance of this being made possible?

Thanks!
Patrick

I would also love to see this feature added. Power on automatically when USB connects.

I sugested this directly as Firmware enhancement, this would be so beneficial for creating Car Hot Spots, for any MiFi !
Would probably be good, if more people would request this feature directly by sending a polite message to TP-Link Support:
Request for Auto-Power-On for MiFi as Firmware Enhancement:
Either as a Setting-Option that enables on/off if MiFi should turn on automatically when USB-Power is connected.
OR automatically when there is no Battery detected and USB is connected, that the MiFi turns on.

Also interested in this feature. It's not cool to turn on hotspot everday manually(
