Model : Archer VR200v

Hardware Version : Archer VR200v v2 00000000

Firmware Version : 0.2.0 0.8.0 v0064.0 Build 161202 Rel.71660n

I have had this modem for over a year now and had an ongoing issue were the 2.4 channel stops working. 5ghz still accepts connections and data through put but 2.4ghz stops accepting new connections or data through put however the SSID is still seen as active.

I have tried the following:-
Factory reset modem numerous times
Turned off the 5ghz
Shut off all devices that had a 2.4ghz (Chromecast, wifi extandeders etc).

The only solution is to switch the 2.4ghz channel off then on again or restart the modem. This can happen upto 3 times a day however typically it happens 2 a week.

Cheers
John

do you have a TP-Link HS100 smart plug by chance

I find mine does hang the 2.4ghz network

I started having problems around the time I connected this whilst on a BT hub6

I purchased an Archer VR900 to replace it as I thought it was faulty but I still get the same issue
