Hi, just upgraded from WR-841ND to Archer C7, but I can't seem to detect the 5GHz network. The 2.4 shows up just fine, already enabled the radio, the LED for 5GHz is also on. What should I do?

Hi there,

All of you device cannot detect the 5G signal?

Please make sure if your device support 5G or not. Not all the device support 5G on the market.

If your device do support 5G, please try to change a Wi-Fi name for your 5G Wi-Fi, and fix the channel to channel 36 or 48.

Thanks

The SSID is not detected by iPhone SE and iPhone 7 (both support 802.11ac), and they're tested right next to the antennas.

try to change the low channel like the 40 .44 or the 48 band of 5Ghz since I had a similar problem with some apple devices that had a router in the 5Ghz band

@leoaspas

Ensure that the wifi function is enabled, and try to change the wireless channel of it to verify whether it can be detected.

Good day.

@mb1971

Hello, have you ever tried the troubleshooting methods mentioned above?

Please ensure that your wireless devices support 5GHz. And you can use the wifi analyzer to get the wireless channel of the 5GHz detected by your cellphone or so and change the wireless channel of 5GHz on the web UI of Archer C7.

May it help.
