Hello,

I have a TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750 v4 and it's running the latest firmware (Archer C7(US)_V4_180425). Upon opening the wi-fi analyzer app I've noticed my SSID still shows WPS as an option, despite it being disabled under "System Parameters". I've done a factory reset and configured the router again, but the problem persists. Is anybody else experiencing the same problem?

Ah, I see the problem.

Actually, WPS is a function, if you enable it and then the client device can connect to the Wi-Fi of the rotuer by wps( if the client device also support WPS, normally it requires a WPS button).

You didn't enalbe WPS, which means wps is not currently in process, but the rotuer should have the ability to do wps connection.

I find this behavior odd, because turning off the WPS functionality on all the other routers I have played with before, resulted in them not showing the WPS capability in the wifi analyzer app anymore. Can I achieve the same outcome on my Archer C7?

@basic-power It doesn't work.  The WPS functionality does not enable even when "enable" is chosen under system tools.   The router WPS light does not function.  I've spent a few hours on this....

@basic-power  Bro I am using TP link archer c7 ac1750 router. First I also thought that the WPS issue was a bug, but later I realized that the router which I mentioned  will allow other devices to connect only when the push button is pushed. If not no one can crack the network using WPS in that router. So no need to worry bro. Be relaxed.

@SarveshMSG I have the same issue pushing the WPS button does not have the WPS LED light up so I am assuming it is not working. The function is enabled. Any help appreciated.

I have TP Link C7 router, purchased in Sept/19. All of a sudden my smart TV loct wifi connection. It doesn't accept the password. There are 4 other devices connected to wifi working fine. MY TV is an LG. The tech just left my house and found the TV working fine. It connects with hotspot. He said the password can be bypassed with WPS but the button on back doesn't work, neither does online. Any suggestions?

@OmarLink

Hello, what is the wireless security type on Archer C7? Be sure it's not WEP, which will cause the failure to enable WPS.
