Hi.

Before spending to much time on trouble shooting the ethernet backhaul, can someone confirm if the following works. ?

Deco M9 working as router - connected to compatible switch - connected to compatible switch - ethernet cable to room without any Wifi Reception - Second Deco M9

- Will it work with Ethernet backhaul if it has none whatsoever WiFi connection to the first unit ? (there is three brickwalls plus an elevator in between the two.)

- Will it work with having both units in router settings ? (I dont see any way to chose a single unit as AP, seems to be all or nothing.)

The room in question has decent Ethernet connection. (48,5 Mbps download, subscription is 50Mbps, so i would say its quite fair.)

Yes it works with Ethernet backhaul if you connect the second Deco to the main one through Ethernet.

By default Deco is in router mode, same for the one you added after the main deco, but actually the slave deco works like access point, it just tranmits data. No need to put one in router and the other in access point mode.
