Model: Archer AX80   Archer AX3000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I use AX80 and AX3000 with the latest firmware.

I would like to use EasyMesh with Ethernet backhaul according to the following configuration guide.
In this case, the configuration guide says that the main router and satellite should be directly connected, but if there is an Ethernet switch between the main router and satellite, is Ethernet backhaul not available?
I have a limited number of cables between the main router and the satellite router, so we would like to use an Ethernet switch to connect the main router and the satellite router .

In case the Ethernet backhaul is only available via direct connection, what is the reason why it is not available with EthernetSwitch?

Regards.

  @Rosolino

After returning the satellite to the factory condition, I connected the main LAN port and the satellite LAN port again via Switch,

and the Ethernet backhaul was successfully used.

Thanks.

Hi  @Rosolino,

Is the switch you are using a managed model? If so, it may be due to the switch settings that affect Ethernet backhaul. It is recommended that you use an unmanaged switch for comparison.
If you are not sure about the specifications of the switch, what is its specific model?

It is also recommended that you consult the switch support to confirm how to modify the switch settings to remove the interference with Ethernet backhaul?

Thank you for your reply.

Am I correct in understanding that it does not matter if there is a Switch between the Main and Satellite, as long as the packets required for EasyMesh are not discarded due to switch settings, etc.?

I use NetGear GS116E Switch.

This is unmanaged plus switch. This is only support VLAN,QOS.

But I dont use these Layer 2 function.
