Hi,

I just bought an Archer MR400, mainly because I had read this article :

https://www.tp-link.com/cz/faq-1658.html

My goal is to limit the bandwidth of the guest network.

Unfortunately, the "Bandwidth control" menu is not present on the tp-link admin panel. It has been replaced by a QoS menu, which allows to priorize some streams, but that's not what I want. I want my guests being unable to consume more than 2 Mb/s, for example.

The article says it applies to Archer MR400( V1 V2 ) , Archer MR200( V2 V3 V4 ), so it should apply to my router. I'm very frustrated because I chose this router mainly for the bandwidth control feature, and can't use it. I have the last firmware.

Do you know how to enable bandwidth control menu ? Or which similar router should I buy to benefit of this feature ?

Thanks for your help !

Firmware Version: 1.3.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 180621 Rel.66827n

Hardware Version: Archer MR400 v2 00000001

Hi,

MR400 V2 doesn't support bandwidth control. The information in the article is not all accurate. It will corrected soon.

@ifup

Been caught out by same trick. Turns out the MR600 also does not have a bandwidth limiter even though this is one of the most important things I need from my router. But frustrating as older and cheaper models have it.

@ifup

I am in the same boat unfortunately, and TP-Link seems to ignore the issue.

Please contribute further to this issue, as it might get TP-Link to at least explain their strange QoS mechanism to us, so we can at least implement a workaround.
