TP -Iink power strip HS300 paired  with deco m9 plus. 

 

I can control with kasa app and deco app.

But alexa and google home, never recognize HS300 power strip, no matter what I do.

 

Other tp-link smart devices are working perfectly.

 

HS105, HS100,HS200,HS210,LB120,LB110 all works fine, But only HS300 can't add to alexa, and google home.

 

I called TP-link support, but they keep inform me to enable "remote control" button, which is not available in KASA app.

 

So I sent screenshot of KASA app.

 

After no responce from support.

The HS300's remote control function should be enabled after you configured the HS300 successfully. Is there any error message when configure with alexa ?

No, Alexa app just can't recognize my four HS300.

 

But there was no error message at all.

you can try to change the device name of the HS300, and then reconfigure it again. https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-944.html

The link you gave me was same one from tp-link support, and I tried that about mor than 10 times but had no luck.

have you confirmed the remote control function is working or not with the kasa app? Like disable the wifi on your phone, then use the 4G network, and then use the kasa app to control the HS300, can you control the HS300 successfully?

I tried with my phone to control HS300 with kasa app, Of course wifi off, and 4G on.

 

It works, this means remote control is enabled. 

 

Just firmware or cloud service problem, I think.
