How to show 4G modem in network adapters on Windows with TL-MR3020?

Hello

I have bought TL-MR3020 router with ability to share mobile operator internet with SIM card inside 4G modem that I connect to router.

It works good: I can share Internet and use router as wifi.

The problem is I need to access modem via network adapter on Windows 7.

After that I can open COM ports and send AT commands to modem.

So, here is a screenshot that I made (Russian interface).

I inserted modem to TL-MR3020, then plugged Windows 7 PC and TL-MR3020 to switch via cables.

The switch is plugged to another router (Miktorik) for Internet at my home.

Question is how to show network adapter of modem? If I remove TL-MR3020 and plug modem directly to PC via USB, it works – there is new adapter. But I need with TL-MR3020.

My final schema will be like this as I will add more modems and routers:

Hi,

If the USB modem is connected to the TL-MR3020, on the PC, it can't see the USB modem via network adapter on Windows 7.

In this case, if you want to know the information about the USB modem(eg,ISP and model ), you can go to the web management page of the TL-MR3020, and go to the Advanced->Network->Internet page to check the information.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-1875.html (Instruction to log into the TL-MR3020's management page)

Thank you for reply.

Are you sure about that?

Okey, is it possible to send AT comands to modem with architecture like on my image?

If I plug modems via USB, it will open COM ports and I am able to do that (with python, for example). But what about if I plug with TL-MR3020? Maybe in Stick modem firmware this is possible (currently I use HiLink firmware)?

If your modem or your computer do you have special function(which I can't know), in a normal case, when the USB modem plugged into the TL-MR3020, the computer can't see the USB modem directly.

Okey, thanks!

Last question: is it possible to access AT commands to modem if I plug it via TP-Link router? If directly to computer USB – yes, I can. But what if via router?

The TL-MR3020 is not support AT commands function, so via the router, can't access to the modem via AT commands. Hope you could understand.
