Right now the Deco M5 support to used as a VPN client to connect the L2TP/PPTP VPN, but can only support those VPN servers whose data are not encrypted. You may refer to this FAQ:https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-1950.html

Would be nice if the deco's start supporting the latest VPN standards (OpenVPN). 

For instance, NordVPN has stopped supporting old standards

 

"Please note that on December 1st, NordVPN’s servers stopped supporting L2TP/IPsec and PPTP connections."

Hi, And what about that evaluation, i'm new customer, just bought my deco devices and i'm slightly dissapointed abound lack of true VPN connections support
