Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: RE200(EU)_V1_171206

I upgraded my RE200 V1 with latest firmware "RE200(EU)_V1_171206". I did this while connected to ethernet. I was able to see Admin portal rebooting and it rebooted well and became stable. However, after that I'm not able to connect to extender after upgrade. Earlier i was getting DNS for this extender as 192.168.0.254 and i was able to connect to admin portal connected to this device. However, post upgrade, i'm getting ethernet address for extender as 169.254.239.40.

 

I have already tried doing hard reset - but that didn't help

 

any help?

Do you remember the old firmware version of your extender?  Did you press the reset button on the extender for 8-10 seconds? Can you see any light change when you do that? 

 

Please try to connect to the extender's wifi and check which IP address and default gateway you will get, the default gateway is supposed to be 192.168.0.254, then you can try to login the admin portal.
