C2300 access-point with static IP, keeps requesting DHCP IP
I've recently purchased a C2300 to use as access point (not router). It is configured as "Operation mode: Access Point", with static ip 192.168.0.2 (with my ISP-provided modem being 192.168.0.1). DHCP is off on the C2300, so it is the simplest access-point configuration I can make - it provides wifi and nothing else.
This works fine, but in the system log on the C2300, this message repeats every minute:
"Obtaining Dynamic IP 192.168.0.54 succeeded."
The C2300 correctly use the statically assigned IP 192.168.0.2, so the DHCP-obtained IP seems to not be used for anything. Why does this DHCP request still occur every minute, when I'm using static IP? Seems like a bug.
PS: If I bind a different IP to my C2300's MAC address in the modem DHCP setup, this new IP will be obtained (and not used) by the C2300.
