I have TL-WR840N(EU) ver5.0

and i setup to range extender why the tplink tether app cannot detect it.

Hello,

 

The TL-WR840N V5 does not support Tether app in range extender mode.

 

As you can see, only the router mode and access point mode are compatible with Tether APP..
