Linksys Vs Tp Link Unmanaged switch..
Linksys Vs Tp Link Unmanaged switch..
Hi, quick question. Which network switch would provide better reliability?
From the store that i asked from , the salesman said that Tp link and Dlink switches has dies after 24/7 of heavy used which worries me as that's what i need it for. Omegle He also said Linksys provided lifetime warranty and had better reliability but the problem is, Appvalley Linksys switches in my area cost double of TP link and Dlink switches!
Im now puzzled whether i should spend more or risk my luck on those tp link switches...

Try to get a router with good speed. As you can exhaust more of your bandwidth while streaming, watch series or doing video calls.

I have two of the TP-SG1016 unit. They have been running 24/7 since Dec 2013 & Jan 2014. I had a port go bad from lightning, poe to an Arduino out on the deck before I put the Ubiquiti ETH-SP Ethernet Surge Protector in line in Jan 2014. They replaced the switch (5-year warranty) no questions asked...
I also use the 5 & 8 port Easy Smart Switches for cheap Vlans.
Also have several of the Cheap gigabit 8 port TP-SG1008D although the Easy Smart price difference is small to step up to the 5-year coverage..
They Just seem to work. None have died yet other than the lost port I spoke about above..
