Hi,

Can I say that it is suggested to add the local domain name in the network setup so that you customers can configure Deco via web UI as well, except Deco app?

If I did not get your point, please correct me.

Good day.

I would like to have the ability to create "Read-Only" accounts to allow my kids to see their WiFi time usage or any other feature to help them see what is their actual WiFi usage and their limits.

Hello

here some feature requests:

  • a checkbox to deactivate dhcp-server
  • a checkbox to forward dhcp-request to another dhcp-server
  • a combobox to set a local domain name, e.g. mylan.local
  • a view where my client is connected to (which deco)
  • a view with connection speed and the used protocol

Sorry for my bad english.

Greetings

Holger

Hi,

Noted, we will forward it to our R&D colleagues.

Meanwhile, the Deco supports access point mode, if you want to deactive DHCP server, you can set it up AP mode.

Good day.

Hello Kevin_Z

i use my decos in AP mode but without the security features.

If i will use the features i have to activate router mode with dhcp-server enabled.

This is the problem. I have a raspberry pi which will act as dns and dhcp-server

Hi,

I see.

Yes, you are right, with AP mode enabled, security settings will be invalid on deco app. And you may need to do the secrurity settings on your front end device that feeds the deco since DHCP has been disable on Deco M5 when it is in AP mode.

So, if you need to keep security settings availabl, please let it stay on router mode.

As for your requests, we will think highly of it and forward it to our R&D. They will assess. Any update, we will release firmware on your deco app.

Good day!
