Hey All,

So I have a bit of an odd setup because of the way my house is wired. I have a Hitron CGN3AMR Cable modem Modem in Bridge mode that is connected to my master Deco M9 via ethernet cable. I also have a direct connection to the Hitron modem to another room in my house via ethernet, bypassing the Deco M9 completely. The problem I have is that this has created two sepate networks that cant communicate with each other, for printing, sharing, casting etc. I am no networking guru so I could use some help getting these two networks to act as one.  Ive attached a drawing to help explain a little better. Thanks in advance

Hi,

There are two options may satisfy your needs to create one network only.

1. Unplug the cable between the Hitron modem and the switch, instead, connect the switch to the Dec9 M9 plus and the devices connected to the switch will be the same network as Deco M9 plus.

2. You can make Hitron modem router as a router mode, and configure Deco M9 plus as access point. Then all the devices connected to the Hitron router will be the same network.

May it help and have a nice day.
