Bought this yesterday. Battery is cold when charging, but when using it with charger disconnected, the battery becomes extremely hot, and the battery sign are flashing RED.
Perhaps any firmware update that can fix this ?

Cause the M7200 is an electronic device and it is a wireless router, it will produce heat when it is running.
Back to your case, flashing red means that the battery level is lower than 10%.

Considering you said the battery is cold when charging, I'm afraid that it didn't get charged. It is suggested to change another USB port or USB cable to give it a go.

@Kevin_Z I got the mifi model m7200. However, even when using or charging it blinks red always and NOT only when its < 10% charged.
I have attached a screenshot and it has been blinking red since I started using when it was 80% charged.
what could be the problem ?
