Hello!

I have had some problems with TP link repeater RE210 for some time, it seems that it doesn't work properly, not enogh wifi. I decided to restart the repeater (pushed the Reset button) and then all lamps but one disappeared. Now it's just one green light on the repeater and it is a firm light. I was then again trying to go to tplinkrepeater.net but I was relocated to a page where you should download theTether app and go from there.

The problem with the Tether app is that it is assumed that you already have all the lights active on the TP link repeater, this is not the case here.

I wonder how to start again in the first place, it doesn't seem possible anymore to get this working from start if you just have one green light on the repeater.

At home I have an Airlink reuter (with two antennas) that works, I have also tried to push the WPS reset bottons on both items but they won't connect (they are in the same room so they should be close enough).

How do I start the TP link repeater again when there is no homepage anymore? Or is it impossible to start over from scratch in 2019?

Grateful for an answer!

Best regards

Hi,

First, there is an option to close the notification about the Tether app. And then you can go to quick setup to install it.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/re210/#video or https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/702/

Meanwhile, the RE210 does not support Tether app.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/tether_compatibility_list/

Please use the host wifi password to configure it.

May it help and have a nice day.
