Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.6.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 181022 Rel.40644n

Good morning,
I bought the router for about 2 months, and after the last reboot, it stopped detecting any SIM card.

I've tried 4 different sim cards, from different companies, and none is detected, and instead work perfectly on archer200 and smartphones.

Let me explain, it worked, I had to shut down to move, when it was turned back on it didn't work.

I tried to reinstall the firmware (TL-MR6400 (EU) _V3_181022) but after uploading it tells me that the firmware is not correct.

How do I proceed?
Thank you.

As far as I know, you have to extract the file before update the firmware, and use the bin file for the update. Maybe you could also try to Reset your MR6400.

was your issue resolved after this?

I have a brand new MR 400 Archer TP Link and it is not detecting the swedish sim card from Telia.

I have also successfully patched to latest firmware!

Hi,

So the sim card cannot be detected? Please show us a screenshot of the status page with the sim card inserted.

Meanwhile, what is the network type of the sim card? And does it work properly with it plugged into the cellphone?

Have you ever tried to change another sim card? Can it be detected by the MR400?

Good day.

I am not sure of the network type of the sim card, but since we are in sweden, its most likely a 3G/4G LTE GSM card.

Just got a brand spanking new one from supplier  http://telia.se

I have tested it with a phone since I had to activate it to make sure it works.

I have also tested it in another smaller mobile modem (netgear Aircard) and it was able to detect it.

Hi,

Here is the network type of the MR400, please ensure that the sim card is compatible.

https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/3g-4g-router/archer-mr400/#specifications

Have you ever tried to use different sim cards with the MR400 to check whether it can be detected?

Meanwhile, please show us a screenshot of the basic-network map page once you logged in with the sim card inserted.

Besides, when and where did you buy it?

Good day.

Telia support say they those - more specifically  800, 2100, 2600 so it should be ok.

Could there be a problem with the hardware? I have already done firmware update to the latest and greatest.

I have tested with one sim before and it it not work. I requested a new sim card.

I have also tested with my regular iphone sim card, did not work.

@Jleigh1 Nope. Returned it and got a new one from the store where I bought it from. New one worked.
