Please refer to the following instructions to set WDS feature on your Archer C6.

1 )Go to Advanced > System Tools > System Parameters, focus on the 2.4GHz Wireless section and click Enable WDS Bridging.

WDS bridging function can be enabled either in 2.4GHz frequency or 5GHz frequency for a dual-band router.

2 )Click Survey, locate the root router’s SSID and click Choose.

3 )If the root router has wireless password, you should enter the wireless password of the root router.

4 )Click Save.

Please provide screen shots if there is no WDS option on your router.

Have a good day!

Step 1

Log in to the web management interface.

Step 2

Go to Advanced-Wireless 2.4GHz -> Wireless Settings. Check Enable WDS Bridging

Step 3

Click Survey. On the pop-up window, find the SSID (wireless network name) of your root router and click Connect.

Step 4

The root router’s SSID and BSSID have been filled automatically. The Key type has been selected automatically. Then please configure the Password to match the ones on the root router (the same wireless password as your root router’s).

Step 5

The Wireless Network Name on the top of the page is the wireless network name of Archer C8, You can name whatever you like, be different or same with your root router’s.

Step 6

Click Save button, then a window will pop out to inform you to change the channel. Click OK, it will change automatically. Please do NOT reboot the router, because we haven't finish the settings.

Step 7

Go to Wireless 2.4GHz-Wireless Security page to secure Archer C8’s wireless network. The Encryption settings here could be different or same with your root router.

Thank you for your reply, my problem is when I am doing your step 3, there is no option for me to check in order to enable WDS Bridging from my setup interface!

That's why I come here and ask!

I have been able to set this for my WR841N with this WDS setting but not for my C6

Please help if I missed anything.

Thanks a lot!

Thank you so much! I can enable the WDS function eventually! I was facing some minor problems during the setup for my 5G, I pressed the survey key, I couldn't find my Main Router but I can find the 2.4G during the 2.4G setup. I still don't get what's went wrong
