TL-WA850RE problems with current firmware
Ever since I updated the TL-WA850RE to the latest firmware version (1.0.0 Build 20171218 Rel. 59722) I've been having problems with the extensor.
I'm currently using it as an access point with the following settings:
Security mode: WPA2-PSK
Encription mode: AES
Wireless mode: 802.11b/g/n mixed
Channel: Auto
Channel width: Auto
Wifi range: Max
WPS: Off
Obtain IP address: Auto
DHCP server: Auto
Energy schedule: from 00:00 to 07:00 everyday
Led control: from 00:00 to 07:00
Time zone: -05:00
Daylight saving: Off
The problems I'm having with the current firmware are:
- Sometimes the energy schedule doesn't turn off the wifi automatically even with the current setting (00:00 to 07:00) and I have to unplugg the device from the power outlet and reconnect it in order to make it work again.
- The "Obtain IP address" set to auto doesn't work because the current internal IP address assigned doesn't access the device, not even by unplugging and reconnecting it, I have reset the extensor to the factory settings and reprogram it again to make it work.
- Sometimes the DHCP server set to auto doesn't work to the point no wireless device can't get connected to the extensor, the only solution is to reset the device to the factory settings and repeat again the same settings I always use.
Looks like this device need a new firmware update to address this inconvenieces I'm having and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.
