Model: TL-WN851ND
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

The connection is very unstable altough I have good signal. The download speed is good but in a few seconds it goes down to almost 0kb/s. I have to disconnect and re-connect to the wifi to get good speed again, but it only works for like 20 seconds and it goes down again.

Hi,

What is the operating system of your computer?

What is the hardware version of the network adapter?

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/46/

How far away between the main router and computer?

Below is an instruction you can refer to locate the issue.

Have a nice day.

Hi,

Please try to move it closer to the main router and test the stability.

Can you detect the wifi networks when the connection lost? Or it is still connected but no internet access?

What about other devices? Do they lose connection?

Try to change another PCI slot and another computer to test its performance.

Besides, when and where did you buy it?

Good day.

I've got the same problem and i've done a heck of a lot of mucking around on the pc to try and figure it out. I think it's microsofts latest update 1903 if you're using win 10 with it.
