@TP-Link_Deco

I install and manage enterprise level mesh systems, some of which cover many square miles (Ubiquiti). The option to set/change bandwidth is available, as well as the option to modify the channel for individual AP's. For the average home user a 40Mhz bandwith is simply horrific in an area that may be already conjested. The ability to modify/change these options on the fly should be available as a matter of principle.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, give these options to the end user.

@TP-Link_Deco

Are there any news about this?

I have very low 2.4GHZ performance because of the 40MHZ

You don't appear to have said anything on the 20/40 Mhz issue. My Deco gets very slow at a certain time of day (even though a speed test shows that the Internet connection is at normal speed) and I'm pretty sure that it would be better at 20 Mhz.

Any update plans to implement the function?

Many home automation equipment, including Broadlink devices, simply don't work at these frequencies.

@SrDarkWarrior Same here.  The automatic channel picking is not the best, but I think my problem with horrible 2.4Ghz performance could be fixed by setting to a 20MHz channel instead of 40MHz.  My Deco is becoming unusable for any 2.4GHz devices as I get less than 1mbps throughput and pings are 1000-2000mS..  Getting ready to trash it for another brand.

1.5 years later no solution. the devolepers who you talking about, do they need to be born first or something? after the time you do a firmware upgrade everybody throwed it away. so do your job en fix this now. its already too late

  @RoyKolk

A month ago I experimented with the "AX1800 X20" the TP-Link Deco WiFi 6 Mesh System(Deco X20) and noticed the same "ugly" behavior that the 2.4 GHz only runs on 40MHz wide channel. Now I am considering the slightly better "AX3000 X60" or maybe even the "AX6600 X90" triband version. Do all of these other TP-Link Mesh systems have the same "ugly" 40MHz behavior ?

from what I have read, all of the Deco only work on the 40MHz channels on 2.4GHz.  This is a bad design but they won't do anything about it.  I had to go back to my Asus to get 2.4Ghz to work.

ReinierL  @tmorris1 Hi I see you also followed the other post here: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/525212

And based on the screenshots provided, the 2.4ghz could work on 20mhz as well, not only for 40mhz.

Currently, the channel and channel width on Deco could not be manually changed but the good news is that this feature has been under re-evaluation。

So besides requesting this feature again,  it would be better if you could tell us directly what issues you have experienced with the current channel and channel width.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
