Wired connections limited to 100mbps on VR400
Wired connections limited to 100mbps on VR400
I bought an AC1200 (VR400), it's on the latest firmware, but I cannot get any wired Ethernet ports to go above 100mps. WiFi is working fine and go higher (PC connects on 2.4 GHz at 144mbps, phone is on 5ghz at 174mbps), but my PC, work PC, NAS, Games console etc are all limited to 100mbps even with a direct connection to the router and nothing else plugged into it.
I've tried 6 different cat5e cables and a cat6 cable.
3 Windows 10 laptops, set speed to auto and also tried forcing 1gbps.
Before this, I owned the AC750 and all the rest of the hardware was the same, that was getting 1gbps with no issues, leading me to believe it has to be something in the router.
Please can anyone assist?
Thank you

Good day.
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
For the Archer VR400, V1+V2, It has
3 *10/100Mbps RJ45 LAN Ports
1 *10/100/1000 RJ45 LAN/WAN Ports
For V3, it has
3× 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 LAN Ports,
1× 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 WAN/LAN Port,
Thank you very much.

https://www.tp-link.com/fi/home-networking/dsl-modem-router/archer-vr400/#specifications
Also mentioned that ports:
3× 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 LAN Ports,
1× 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 WAN/LAN Port, 1× RJ11 Port,
1× USB 2.0 Port
In the package itself reads 1 gigabit LAN/WAN port and 3 fast ports. So the fast is 100 Mbps =)
I had to change VR400 v1 to a new one just before the support time ended (3 years) and I got a VR400 v2 but the same problems exist.
LAN ports are dying (PC gets disconnected from the modem, reboot helps after cooling down).
VR400 can't handle the pressure of even two computers same time for a hole day. It gets hot and then the LAN ports usually drop out. I still have 2 months left, hopefully next time I have a opportinity to maybe change to a VR600 if that's working better?

Good day,
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
Sorry for the delay.
I am sincerely sorry that apparently there are some mistakes on the specification page and we have already arranged the related team to change the information.
And if you check on the datasheet of Archer VR400 v2, you will see there are some conflicts.

Really sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks a lot for your understanding and support.

@Sunshine I feel cheated, I have nothing else to say on the subject.
Too bad there are two routers with the same name, with such different capabilities.
When I first bought a TP-link router I was sure that I'm buying a good product that I'll use for years going forward... huge dissapointment guys.
