Archer MR200: Wrong IP reported to Dynamic DNS

I use no-ip.com service to connect to some services at my home. My Archer MR200 4G router updates my Dynamic DNS with IP address which shows up on "What's my ip", but that one doesn't connect to my home. When I manually point the no-ip address to the IP shown on the Internet overview page in thw router, it works.

Is there any solution how to report this correct IP? My previous Netgear router did it the right way.

Hi,

What do you mean that the router updates the DDNS with IP address but cannot connect to your home?

At that time, can you access the MR200 with the domain name? If not, is there any error message? Please show us a screenshot.

How do you point the NO-IP address to the IP manually? By login manually?

Besides, please ensure that the firmware is up to date.

What I mean is that the outer IP is 72.xxxx and on that one I get no answer from my network. On the Internet page it shows modem's IP as 10.xxx. The 10something IP is the one I can use with NAT to access my services or VPN to.

Yes, you can update the IP manually on No-ip.com. But if the modem restarts, you get new IP and it autoupdates the dynamic dns to wrong IP.

I'm on the latest firmware.

I am having the same issue.

Status page shows WAN IP: 100.92.228.4

But the Archer software automaically tells the Dynamic DNS service that the IP is 188.146.227.177.

Also, when I go to google and ask for my IP it also shows 188.146.227.177.

For some reason the Archer router hides the actual WAN IP and gives me a different one, which doesn't work.

Only using IP 100.92.228.4 works, therefore I am unable to leverage the Dynamic DNS options.

@Turowicz I think it is an ISP thing. I had the same, now it works just by autoupdate to DynDNS done by the modem. Before I had extermal IP reported by the modem (and google, whoami,...) and the IP shown in the connection info inthe modem UI.

If I accessed the reported IP, couldn't reach my network from outside when using other ISP in my mobile, than I have the modem on. On second sim/other provider the reported IP worked.

So as I say... ISP?
