Hi All ...

I have a BT Smart Hub with both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks available and visible.  But how do I setup my Deco to see and delivery BOTH networks?  When I run through the Deco setup, I don't see any option regarding which of the networks I connect to.  I'd like to have both networks running throughout the house.  If I go to add another network, the app needs the main deco to be flashing blue, so I can connect via bluetooth.  But when I power it down and back up, it automatically goes green as it re-connects to the existing network.

thanks in advance,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

The Deco supports dual band, both 2.4GHz and 5GHz; while they use the same network name, that is why you just see only one available network on your house.

For the option to see which deco/which network is connected to, we have released a firmware recently which supports this feature. You can refer to https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/164802?page=1&t=2019%2F07%2F10%2011%3A37%3A48%20%2B0000

Meanwhile, when you add the new Deco, the main Deco does not have to be flashing blue, instead, the new unit should be in standby mode(flashing blue) and you can refer to the instruction below to configure it.
