Model: Archer C1200  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: v2.0.2

I want to block internet access to my kids phones and laptops after a certain time.  But this is not working.

 

I setup Internet access time from 7:00 to 20:00, after this they should not be able to access any site or app on their phones.  How to enable this.

 

Blocking the MAC address manually works but I want to block it timely.

 

I purchased this router specifically for this purpose.

Click here to get the instruction to setup parental control on this Archer C1200. 

 

Meanwhile, please notice that the internet access time is the time period where the filter rules take effect. Does not means that you can access internet during this time. 

 

So if you want to block your kids devices to access internet at a certain time, you can select it as the internet access time, then choose whitelist but NO keywords included.

@kevin_z Thanks for explaining. I understood it the other way - Internet allowed in the time set otherwise blocked.

Whatsapp is not blocked by this option

The Archer C1200 can block websites only, but it cannot block APPs. 

 

FYI, there are some devices can block both websites and APPs, like Deco M9 plus and Deco M5.

Timezone is set properly.

 

Parent controls worked for 5 minute and then everything back to normal. not working. Any idea what to do?

 

Hardware version Archer C1200 v3.0

Firmware version v3.0.7 20200831 rel.59087

 

Configurations:

 selected time. selected whitelist and no entries. want to block everyone during the selected time
