@waellol

TL-WN725N V3 supports Windows 10. Click here to get the driver of it.

Besides, you can click here to get more information.

What is hosted network?

With 725N installed on your computer, can you detect any wifi networks? Like the hosted network?

And is there any error message if you failed to join it?

@waellol

I did not catch your point,  do you want to set it up as the soft AP? If so, you can use the built-in hotspot on Windows 10 to do that.

As far as I know, Windows 10 is unable to connet Ad-hoc wireless network.

Meanwhile, we do not have to use TP-link utility anymore, the computer has its own built-in utility to connect to network.

Hosted networks, is the way for windows 10 to create ad-hoc session, but the command said WLAN adaber not supported. i tried AD-hoc successfully with TL-WN722N. so my question which TP micro module support hosted Networks?

i tried using TP Utility which is only aviable for version2.

it worked just once and connected my phone to softAP, phone didn't access internet . phone assigned ip 192.168.137.x & main NIC where ICS has 172.16.15.x

all other times i try enabling SoftAP, i got error message "failed to configure softap mode please have a check and disconnect ad hoc".

please advice

Thanks for your reply, the Windows 10 does not support this feature to setup AD-hoc network on it, it does not support this protocol.

While the Windows 7 computer can.

Yes Windows 10 does suport ad-hoc but the driver may support it first.

The command (in cmd with admin access): netsh wlan show drivers

shows up if the drivers support it or not.

For example my "Dell Wireless 1705" driver does support hosted network but my "Realtek RTL8188EU" (its a TL-WN723N) does not.

Hosted network is like a SoftAP/ad-hoc but managed entirely by Windows.

My question is, which models of TpLink usb adapters does support it?
